Services set for man killed in crash

Services will be held Thursday for a Buffington man who was killed Saturday after the car he was a passenger in crashed in Menallen Township, state police said.

Sherrod Julian Williams, 22, was pronounced dead at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., following the one-vehicle crash.

Police said that Williams was a passenger in a car driven by Michael Anthony Wynn Jr., 26, of Uniontown, when the vehicle struck a utility pole on Upper Middletown Road at 3:18 a.m. Saturday.

Williams was flown from the scene by medical helicopter for treatment, officials said.

Wynn was injued in the crash, police said.

The crash remains under investigation.

The Muriel E. Lantz Funeral Home in Uniontown is handling funeral arrangements for Williams.
