Thelma Fowler Huntley, age 95, of Smithfield, Pa., died at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 18, 2012.

She was born July 17, 1917 at Lake Lynn, Pa., the daughter of William Fowler and Nellie Means Fowler.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Elmer “Duke” Huntley; son, Jerry Huntley; sons-in-law, John Johnson and David Morgan and brothers-in-law, Fred King and Claude Goldsboro.

Surviving are her children, Joan LaVor and husband, Martin of Alexandria, Virginia, Connie Johnson, Point Marion, Pa., Shirley Morgan, Smithfield, Pa. and Linda Bahuriak and husband, David of Smithfield, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; n i n e great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Goldie King, Louise Goldsboro, Delorse Fowler and Virginia Fowler, all of Smithfield, Pa. and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, September 22, 2012 until 11:00 a.m., the hour of service, with Rev. Jay P. Hurley and Rev. Stanley Rogers officiating.

Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
