Robert Gordon ‘Bob’ Croushore
Robert Gordon ‘Bob’ Croushore, age 56, of Adah, Pa., passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 20, 2012.
He was born July 7, 1956 in Uniontown, Pa., the son of Gordon Croushore and Lois Ann (Porter) Croushore, both now deceased.
Bob was a member of the Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Brownsville, Pa.
For 24 years, Bob served as German Township Supervisor.
A m o n g h i s m a n y a c c o m p l i s h m e n t s within German Township, he was most proud of the Brown’s Run Trail.
He was a 25 year member of Valley Lodge No. 459 F.&A.M. in Masontown, Pa.
Bob owned and promoted Croushore’s Demolition Derbies throughout the Tri-County area for over 30 years.
He was a very dedicated Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He enjoyed his role as Santa Claus for numerous occasions and organizations.
He was also the owner of Croushore Auto Salvage where he loved and enjoyed buying and selling vehicles.
He loved raising farm animals and, as a child, was a member of the 4-H Club.
The most precious of life’s gifts to him was his son, family and friends!
Throughout his life, Bob touched many people’s lives with acts of kindness and generosity, many of which were done anonymously.
He will be truly missed!
Bob is survived by his loving son, Gordon Croushore of McClellandtown, Pa.; brother, Edward Croushore and wife Marsha of Adah; two sisters: Cindyann Rasquinha and her husband Harry of Adah and Amy Barricklow and husband Frank of Jeannette, Pa.; his former wife, Suzanne (Cavrak) Croushore of McClellandtown; the Cavrak family; a special friend, Melody Glista of Gates, Pa.; three nephews: Nelson Croushore, Frank Barricklow and Mark Seese; nieces: Laura W i l l i a m s, A m a n d a Zimmerman, Lois Ormsby and India Werner.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the H. DAVID McELROY FUNERAL HOME, McCLELLANDTOWN.
Family and Friends will be received at the McCLELLANDTOWN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, S p r i n g e r R o a d, McClellandtown, on Monday, September 24, from 2 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, September 25 2012 until 10 a.m.. the hour of Service. Bob’s Brother-in-Law, Harry Rasquinha, will officiate
Interment will follow in Acklin Cemetery.
Valley Lodge No. 459 F.&A.M. will conduct Services at the Church on Monday evening at 6 p.m.
