Richard L. ‘Dick’ Rush, Sr.
Richard L. ‘Dick’ Rush, Sr., age 70, of Waynesburg, died Sunday, September 23, 2012 at his home.
He was born April 3, 1942 in Washington, a son of Wilda Moore Rush of Waynesburg, who survives, and the late Cary Rush Sr.
On November 26, 1965 he married Barbara Churney Rush, who survives.
Mr. Rush was a retired construction superintendent. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 66B.
He resided most of his life in Waynesburg where he had served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
Mr. Rush had coached little league baseball and football. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting and working on cars.
Surviving, in addition to his mother and wife, are three sons, Richard L. Rush Jr. (Chris) of Jefferson, Daniel Rush (Melinda) of Waynesburg, and Jeffrey Rush (Jenny) of Uniontown; seven grandchildren, Alex, Jacob, Reagan, Mathew, Dylan, Myranda, and Lily and two brothers, Daniel Rush and Robert Rush, both of Waynesburg.
Deceased are a brother, Cary Rush Jr. and a sister, Helen June Haught.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at BEHM FUNERAL HOMES INC., 182 West High St., Waynesburg where services will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2012.
