Family continues search for missing Georges Township man
The family of a Georges Township man who has been missing for three months said Wednesday that they are continuing to search for the 53-year-old, although official searches were suspended a few weeks after he was last seen.
State police and the Fayette County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team conducted several searches in an attempt to find Rodney Lincoln, who was last seen around 5:30 a.m. June 25 when he left his home at 40 Rose Drive.
However, no sign of Lincoln has been found.
Lincoln’s wife, Malinda, said that her husband, who is an epileptic, had a seizure a few days before he left his residence and had been acting strange during the night before leaving his home on foot.
She said today that her family has continued to search “whenever they can” and are working to try and raise a reward fund to possibly help locate him.
Police said Lincoln was described as “disoriented and confused” prior to leaving his home. Lincoln was last seen walking toward Walnut Hill Road wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, a baseball cap and white and black tennis shoes.
Police described Lincoln as a balding white man and said he may be wearing eyeglasses.
Search and rescue efforts were conducted for several days in the area of Walnut Hill Road and also in the Shoaf area to no avail.
Anyone with information regarding Lincoln’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 724-439-7111.
