Edith L. Everly Wilkins, age 93 of White House, Pa., passed away on September 25, 2012 in the Uniontown Hospital.

B o r n February 2, 1919 in White House, Pa., she was the daughter of t h e l a t e Charles Dayton Everly and Nancy Alma Darby Everly. She was a 1936 graduate of Georges Township High School.

Edith was an eighty – year member of the Springhill Furnace Presbyterian Church where she faithfully served many years as a Sunday school teacher, an elder, a trustee, a youth leader, the Women’s Association Co-ordinator, a Vacation Bible School founder and leader and received the honor of thirty-three years perfect attendance.

She was the loving wife for seventy – five years to her surviving husband Russell; her children: Charles E. Wilkins and wife Sherry Rotach Wilkins and Nancy Wilkins-Crossland and husband Frederick will cherish her memory along with her grandchildren: Deborah R. Wilkins and Charles R. Wilkins of Ohio and Carla Crossland-Powell and husband Michael of Uniontown, Pa. and her three great granddaughters: Ashley, Holly and Dana of Ohio. She will also be sadly missed by her faithful Chihuahua, Ginger.

The family wants to express their thanks and appreciation to all of you at the Golden Living Nursing Home of Uniontown, Pa. for the care and medical attention you gave her during her residency there since November 2010.

The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.; Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, September 29, 2012 until 11:00 a.m. the hour of Service with Dr. George “Joey” Hickok officiating.

Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
