Police said the incident occurred shortly after midnight when officers were summoned to a residence on West Fayette Street.

Police said they proceeded to the Kings’ residence on Johnson Avenue, and that while speaking with them, they became “verbally combative.”
Officers said that when the attempted to arrest Harold King, he struck an officer in the neck and that Kimberly King and the teen then attempted to pull the officer away from Harold King. Kimberly King and the teen also assaulted other police officers trying to arrest them, kicking and hitting them in the neck and body, police said.
The teen was placed in a juvenile detention center in Westmoreland County following the incident.
