Agnes R. ‘Aggie’ Mikluscak Student Sterba Almes, age 92 of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, September 26, 2012 surrounded by her loving family in the home of her daughter, Judy.

‘Aggie’ was born March 3, 1920 in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of George Mikluscak and Anna (Ciglar) Mikluscak.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Student, the father of her four daughters; second husband, Paul Sterba; and by her third husband, Charles Almes. In addition to her husbands, she was also preceded in death by her grandsons, Richard ‘Rick’ Davidson and Ben Schiffbauer; sons-in-law, Donald Newhouse and Richard Davidson; brothers: George, John, Joseph and Anthony; and sisters: Sister Borjia Mikluscak and Ann Varndell.

‘Aggie’ was a member of St. John the Evangelist R. C. Church, American Legion Post 51 Ladies Auxiliary, AMVETS Post 103 Ladies Auxiliary, Catholic War Veterans Ladies Auxiliary, the Elks, and The Knights of Columbus.

She was a dedicated member of the Board of Directors at ARC and was an active fund raiser for Fayette Resources.

She worked as a Hairdresser for many years.

Aggie is survived by her loving and devoted daughters: Suzanne Davidson, Uniontown, Pa., and Mary Ann Biller and husband Francis of Florida, Anna Marie Newhouse of Uniontown, Judith Unice and husband Larry of Hopwood and Charles W. Almes Jr. of Uniontown; loving grand children: Timothy Davidson and wife Jennifer, Michele Schiffbauer and husband Daniel, Suzanne Marmol and husband Mark, Jennifer Voyten and husband Robert, Lara Reed and husband Eric, Renee Schwertfeger and husband Ryan, Francis Biller and wife Helene, Mary Marcinak and husband Gerald, Thomas Biller and Athena, Donna Dawson and husband Matthew, Donald Newhouse and wife Karen, Lonnie Newhouse and wife Amy, and Deanna Craft and husband Robert; 32 great grandchildren four great great grandchildren brother Andrew Mikluscak of Ohio; sisters: Helen DeCarlo of New York, Margaret Nicowski of Maryland and Delores Hickle of Uniontown; several loving nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many many friends.

Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Ave., Uniontown, Pa., this morning until 9 a.m. when Parting Prayers will be said followed by a 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Jefferson Street, with Reverend Father James D. Tringhese as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.

Visitation was also held on Friday, September 28, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.
