Uniontown woman charged in lottery theft
A Uniontown woman is facing charges after police allege she stole money from the state lottery while working at a Uniontown convenience store.
Donna Scott, 34, was charged with a single count of theft following an investigation by Uniontown police.
Lt. Thomas Kolencik said the theft occurred when Scott was working as a cashier at the Mobile service station and convenience store in Uniontown in March.
Kolencik said that over the course of a week, Scott store nearly $500 from the lottery proceeds collected by the store.
She will face a preliminary hearing at a later date before Magisterial District Judge Michael M. Metros.
