A Pittsburgh man is facing multiple charges after police said he was caught with drugs in Uniontown early Tuesday.

Uniontown police Officer Jonathan Grabiak said Dan Andrew Gaines, 37, of 1789 Perrysville Ave. was charged with loitering and prowling at night, possession of cocaine, possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession with intent to deliver marijuana.

The charges were filed after Gaines was discovered allegedly wandering through yards on Connellsville Street after 2 a.m.

Grabiak said when he was approached by officers, Gaines sat down on a porch of a residence.

He told officers that he does not live at the house and does not know who lives there.

Grabiak said that Gaines was then taken into custody for loitering and prowling, and during a search of his pockets, officers found crack cocaine, marijuana and more than $2,300.

He was placed in Fayette County Prison on $35,000 straight cash bond following his arraignment.

Gaines will face a preliminary hearing at a later date before Magisterial District Judge Michael M. Metros.
