A New Eagle woman, an Ellsworth woman and a California man are each facing charges following an alleged drug bust Nov. 22 in California.

California police said the drugs were found during an incident at 11:49 p.m. at the California Terrace Apartments.

According to officers, police found the trio in possession of a half-bundle of stamp bags of heroin, a full brick of uncut heroin, marijuana and various prescription medications.

Police said they also found new and used hypodermic needles and a pill bottle filled with cut pieces of straws used for ingesting drugs.

Investigators said that in an attempt to hide drugs from police, the New Eagle woman admitted to swallowing as many as eight Suboxone strips that were wrapped in aluminum foil inside of a plastic bag. Police said the woman swallowed the drugs, foil and bag.

She was taken to Washington General Hospital for treatment as a result.

The identities of the suspects is being withheld pending the formalization of charges.

Charges will include possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of heroin, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
