Glenn Mack Cooley, age 85, of Uniontown passed away unexpectedly peacefully at home on Thursday morning, December 5, 2013.

Mack, as he was so lovingly known, was the son of the late Glenn M. and Lena Clingan Cooley.

He was born June 30. 1928 in New Salem, Pa.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Pamela S. Herring in November of 2009; his sisters Armeda Sleighter and Pauline ‘Polly’ Chandler; sister in law Juanita Hackney and his nephew Alan Hackney.

Mack served in the Untied States Navy.

He retired from E. W. Bowman Inc. in 1992 and enjoyed traveling and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He was a faithful member of the New Salem Presbyterian Church.

Mack was a kind and caring man who loved his family. They were the light of his life. He was a gem! a one of a kind who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Loretta Hostetler Cooley; his daughter Deborah J. May and husband Douglas of Donna, Texas; his grandchildren Jason May and wife Susan of Houlton, Maine, Jennifer Stone and husband Joshua of Auburn, Alabama, Justi Laughery and husband Brandon of Smithfield, Pa.; great grandchildren Hannah, Cassie and Jonathan May, Autumn Stone, Ryan, Brenden and Evan Laughery; and several very special nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Ave., Uniontown, on Sunday, December 8, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 and Monday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. the hour of Service with Rev. David Stewart officiating

Interment follows in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.

Military Honors will be accorded at graveside.
