JoAnne (Popson) Ondick
JoAnne Popson Ondick 73 of Uniontown, Pa., valiantly left this world to enter into peaceful rest, on December 6, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of the late Mary Popson Ashetzie.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her son Kevin; brother, Francis Popson and nephew, Frank Arlen Bennett Sr.
For more than two decades JoAnne served our local community as a counselor advocate for domestic violent victims and volunteered for numerous non-profit organizations.
She enjoyed our family beach vacations and interior decorating. She looked forward to our annual family firework spectacular and enjoyed most of all, just being together.
She is survived by her loving children: Paula Swartz and George Jr., Barbara Leone and husband Jack, Kim Hartman, Tessa Ondick and John Ondick all of Uniontown; loving grand children: Cherl Naill and husband David, Marissa, Matthew, Nicholas and Kendall Swartz; Jesse Leone and Tatiana Swaney; sister, Rose Ann Bennett and brother Steve Popson and wife Carol both of Uniontown; nieces, nephews, other relatives, many friends.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown on Monday, December 9, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday morning until 10 a.m. the Hour of Service.
Entombment follows in Mt. Macrina Cemetery.
