The Mountain Weatherman: Snowy Saturday
We had a frigid day here in the mountains, one of the colder days we’ll see all season, and its not even winter yet. The high yesterday was 18, that’s a record low high for the date, the overnight low 10, and at 7AM we were 14 degrees under clear skies. There was no precipitation and we have 3 inches on the ground. We’ll be cold again today but much less harsh than yesterday. Snow will move in early tomorrow morning probably before dawn and it looks like it will come down heavy at times into the afternoon when it could become mixed with skeet and freezing rain or change to just plain rain by evening. There could be 3 to 6 inches in the mountains, depending on how long we stay all snow, but there will be more snow just to our east. There could be freezing drizzle by Sunday morning that should change to a little light snow before it all clears out, then just cold for Monday, but it looks we start a warming trend after that.
