State police and the Allegheny County Bomb Squad were dispatched to Dunbar Township for a report of a suspected pipe bomb found underneath a woman’s car on Monday.

According to Trooper Stefani Plume, the incident was reported to police at 8:36 a.m. when a Connellsville woman called 911 about what she believed was a pipe bomb underneath her vehicle parked in a driveway on West Crawford Avenue.

Troopers evacuated the neighboring residents and closed down several streets around the suspected explosive device and contacted the Allegheny County Bomb Squad to respond.
