Betty C. Turcic
Betty C. (Apone) Turcic, age 86, of Allison 2, Pa., passed away Monday, December 16, 2013 at her home.
She was born July 12, 1927 in Allison, Pa., a daughter of the late Peter Apone and Josephine Leeper Apone.
Betty was a member of the former Holy Rosary Church, in Republic, Pa., and also the Croatian Fraternal Union.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Turcic, a sister, Theresa Colaiuta, and brother Ralph Apone.
Surviving are her children: Michele Yeardie and husband Butch of Brownsville, Pa., Robert J. Turcic and wife, Rhonda, of Lower Burrell, Pa., Pete M. Turcic and wife Sharon of Elkview W. Va., Eileen Drzazgowski and husband Bob, of New Salem, Pa., and Michael Turcic and wife, Dana, of Chalk Hill, Pa; grandchildren: Scott Yeardie and wife, Cheryl, Jeanine Yazzani and husband, Albert, Nina, Nicole, Bobby, and Sydney Turcic, Ashley Dupey and husband, Deric, Mia Turcic, and Nolan Wyda; great grandchildren Domenic, Gabrielle and Austin Yazzani, Nico Turcic and Amelia Dupey; a sister, Jennie Genovich of McComb, Michigan.
Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME, 19 Legion Street, Republic, Pa., on Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 7 to 9 P.M., Friday, December 20, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M., and Saturday, December 21, 2013 until 1 P.M., when a Prayer Service will be held.
A Funeral Mass follows at 1:30 P.M. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Footedale, Pa.,m with Rev. Fr. William G. Berkey as Celebrant.
Entombment will be in Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at LaFayette Memorial Park.
