Oral Dean Grover
Oral Dean Grover, age 81, of Dunbar, Pa., died Friday, December 20, 2013 in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville.
He was born on Sunday July 10, 1932 the son of Oral Thomas Grover and Nellie Merle (Hileman) Grover in Brandonville, West Virginia.
He was a United States Army Veteran of Korean Conflict and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, Centerville Pa
Oral had been self-employed, then retired in 2000 from Dean Grover Garbage Service.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law and his mother-in-law, Albert and Winnie Young; sister-in-law, Darlene Young; brother-in-law, William Young; several aunts and uncles. Oral was the last member of his immediate family.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Alma Jean (Young) Grover; children Robert ‘Rob’ Grover and wife Terri Lou, Dunbar, Tom of Dunbar, Joyce of Dunbar, Debbie and her husband Fred of Uniontown, Pa., Larry and wife Cheryl of Scottdale, Pa., Lori and husband Harry of Connellsville, Pa.; grandchildren: Angela and Joshua Grover, J.T., Albert, D.J., Kurt, Tom, Ryan, Brandon, Blake, Anissa; and his walking buddy, Daniel Dean.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, Pa. Services will be held in Funeral Home Saturday, December 28, at 11 a.m. Rev. Timothy Rogers will officiate.
Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville, where Military Honors will be accorded by Gen. George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood, Pa.
Boy Scout Troop 180 Service in the Funeral Home on Friday at 7:30.
