William Shibler, age 86, formerly of the Morris Crossroads, Pa., area, died on Saturday, December 28, 2013 in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Born February 24, 1927 at Morris Crossroads in Fayette County, Pa., he was the son of the late Earl Shibler and Lenora (Conn) Shibler.

Following his graduation in 1945 from Point Marion High School, he joined the United States Navy serving in the Radio Corps through the end of World War II.

After the war, he graduated from West Virginia University with Bachelor of Science Degree and then obtained a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering with Honors at the University of Pittsburgh.

Bill retired after nearly 40 years employment with RCA.

In his spare time, he enjoyed radio controlled model airplanes and was a Ham Radio Operator with the call letters W3Q11.

Surviving are three children: William Shibler Jr. of Manassas Park, Virginia, Lawrence Scott Shibler of Chesapeake, Virginia and Susan L. Shibler, Bethel Park. Pa.; grandchildren Kiana and William; his former wife, Marjorie J. Shibler of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

The last of his immediate family, he was predeceased by brothers, Robert, Earl II, and Gordon in infancy; and sisters, Dorothy Baker, Dorcas Hall, Rebecca Housden, Jean Glascock, and JoAnn Cook.

Friends are invited to join the Family for Graveside Services at SPRINGHILL UNION CEMETERY, Morris Crossroads at the Oak Grove Church of Christ on Tuesday December 31 2013 at 1:30 p.m. Joseph Condoluci, Minister, will officiate.
