Sara Bess ‘Sally’ Ruffcorn Pegg
Sara Bess ‘Sally’ Ruffcorn Pegg, age 80, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013. She was born September 22, 1932 in Thompson 1, the daughter of Raymond and Lavina Ruffcorn.
In addition to her parents, Sally is preceded in death by her husband Howard ‘Dude’ Pegg in 2007.
Sally graduated from Redstone High School with the Class of 1940. She was a member of Walnut Hill United Methodist Church. Sally enjoyed square dancing, golfing, bowling, and spending time with many friends.
Sally is survived by two sons, David Pegg and wife, Louann, of Uniontown and Ryan Pegg and wife, Kim, of Smithfield; daughter, Larae Angel and husband, John, of Smithfield; six grandsons, Brad Pegg and fiancée, Kaitlyn, of Avondale, AZ, Dan Pegg and fiancée, Tara, of Uniontown, Jonathan Angel of Smithfield, Pa., and Cameron Angel of Paris Island, S.C.; Nicholas Pegg and Nathan Pegg of Smithfield; a brother, Donald Ruffcorn and wife, Eleanor, of Cartersville, GA and a sister, Charlotte Swaney of Solon, Ohio.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA. where friends will be received on Friday from 3 until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue in the WALNUT HILL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH on Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m., followed by a service celebrating Sally’s life at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Eugene Stollings and Dr. Arnold Husk co-officiating.
Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
