Margaret (Adams) Verbus, age 88 years, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, January 17, 2013.  She was born on September 30, 1924 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania daughter of the late George Adams a n d Susie (Concheck) Adams.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, John Verbus; brother, George Adams Jr.; and sisters: Ann George, Eleanore Rutter and Catherine Turney.

Margaret was member of Saint Therese Roman Catholic Church and the St. Therese Altar Society.

She graduated from Uniontown Area High School, Class of 1943.

Margaret was a dedicated sitter at local hospitals and a home companion for many patients. She was also a volunteer at Fayette Health Care.

She is survived by her loving children: Edward Verbus of Simi Valley, California, Ted Verbus and wife Kathy of Mesa, Arizona and John Verbus and wife Becky of West Friendship, Maryland; loving grandchildren: Eddie Allen Verbus, Jonathan Verbus, Joy Verbus, Michelle Verbus, Michael Koss and Melanie Koss; four great grandchildren; brother, Frank Adams of Phoenix Arizona; other relatives and many friends.

Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., Monday, January 21, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday morning until 9:15 a.m. when Parting Prayers will be said.

A Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in Saint Therese Roman Catholic Church with Monsignor Michael W. Matusak, V.F., Pastor as Celebrant.

Interment follows in Mt. Macrina Cemetery.

Parish Wake Service will be held in Funeral Home on Monday at 3.
