Billy Sloan
Billy Sloan, age 86, of Uniontown, Pa., died Friday, May 31, 2013 at Uniontown Hospital.
Billy was born in Littleton, West Virginia on December 21, 1926 son of Samuel Sloan and Elizabeth (Yost) Sloan.
Billy served in the United States Navy for 27 years serving in World War II, Vietnam, and the Korean Conflict.
He loved to travel!
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Margaret A. (Voithoffer) Sloan; two brothers Raymond Aaron Sloan and James Sloan; and a sister, Nellie Dilly.
He is survived by his loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was adopted by all as ‘Uncle Billy’.
Friends will be received in the THOMAS M. DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, 136 North Gallatin Ave., Uniontown PA 15401 (724.437.4561) on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 10 to 11 a.m. at which time a Service will be held by Reverend Norman Walk.
Internment will follow in Saint Agnes Cemetery, Masontown, Pa.
