Gloria Faye Townsend Zuzik Hart, age 83, of Carmichaels, died June 2, 2013 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.

Mrs. Hart was born February 3, 1930 in Palmer, the daughter of the late Edwin Ray and Jessie Marie Lewis Townsend.

Mrs. Hart is survived by her husband, Charles William (Bill) Hart; two daughters, Karen Sue Zuzik Bradmon (Charles), Carmichaels, Joyce Arlene Zuzik Drew (Gary), Greensboro and a stepson, John A. Hart (Kelli), Waynesburg; five grandchildren, Dr. Michael W. Bradmon (Leanne), Dana Svensson (Mikael), Ashley Simkovic (Justin), Christopher Drew, Joel Morris and one great-grandchild, Dakota W. Bradmon; a brother, Kenneth R. Townsend (Janice) and sister, Janice A. McMinn (Paul), both of Carmichaels.

Mrs. Hart’s first husband, Michael Edward Zuzik, died in 1972. Also deceased are two sisters, Myrtle M. Townsend and Audrey A. Lazuka.

Gloria was a graduate of German Township High School in 1948. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Carmichaels and Perryopolis where she taught both Sunday School and sang in the choirs.

Gloria was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Masontown.

She sang in a quartet in her youth, and assisted the Gracemen Gospel Group with their bookings.

Friends will be received in the LESAKO FUNERAL HOME INC., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, Pa. 15320 (724-966-5100) Paul M. Lesako Funeral Director/Supervisor/Owner on Tuesday June 4, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday when a Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg.
