Cheryl Ann (Filmeck) Parsons, age 58, of South Union, Uniontown, Pa., died Monday, June 3, 2013 at her home after a long illness.

She was born March 21, 1955, in Collier, Pa., the daughter of John and Lena (Imperata) Filmeck

In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Filmeck.

Cheryl is survived by her husband of 39 years, Richard C. Parsons Jr.; daughter, Adrienne Gyure and her husband, Jon of Bradenton, Florida one son, Richard Kurt Parsons and his wife Jennifer of Pasadena, Maryland; five grandsons Jonathan 10, Richard Cole 7, Jordan 6, Seth 4, Jared 3; two sisters: Mary Ann Bell and her husband, Reynold of Hopwood, Pa., and Fran Rider (her late husband Jeffrey) of Fairchance, Pa.; two brothers: Jack Filmeck and his wife Catherine of Virginia and Joseph Filmeck and his wife Michele of York Run, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives will be received in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, INC., 21 East Church Street, Fairchance, PA, 15436, John M. Fabry, Supervisor, today, June 5 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Additional visitation will take place Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the hour of the funeral service with Pastor Jason Lamer officiating.

Interment to follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa
