Anthony B. Digga Jr.
Anthony B. Digga Jr., age 88, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013.
He was born on July 18, 1924 in Uniontown, Pa., the son of Anthony B. Digga Sr. and Joanne (Florkiewicz) Digga.
Anthony was a member of Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church where he formerly served as an usher.
He was also a member of the former Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 47 in Uniontown, Hutchinson Sportsmen’s Club and The Fraternal Order of Eagles in Uniontown.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Peggy L. Digga; two brothers, Charles Digga and Frank Digga; and four sisters, Marie Digga, Bertha Sepessy, Viola ‘Bunny’ Fell and Virginia Digga.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Anthony Digga, Terrie Brooks and her husband Bernard; grandchildren: Chad Digga and wife Stacey, Jarred Brooks, Greg Brooks and Tyler Brooks; a great grand daughter, Madison Brooks; his special niece Joanne Ham and her husband Jack; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown Pa., on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 until 9:15 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Old Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown, with Rev. Father Ronald L. Simboli as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery Hopwood, Pa.
