Magdaline A. ‘Maggie’ Tomasko

Magdaline A. ‘Maggie’ Tomasko, age 82, of Dunbar, Pa., passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, June 9, 2013.

Born in Scottdale, Pa., on October 25, 1930, Magdaline was the daughter of the late Michael Zozula and Mary (Yelenosky) Zozula.

Magdaline was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Connellsville, Pa., the Christian Mothers, and the former Monarch Firemen’s Ladies Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, Magdaline was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Zozula and Edward Zozula and infant granddaughters, twins, Allison Faith Collins and Becca Hope Collins.

Left to cherish Magdaline’s memory are her husband of 53 years, Michael Tomasko; two daughters, Michelle Moscalink and husband, Charles Jr., of Uniontown, Pa., and Marcia Collins and husband, John, of Lemont Furnace, Pa.; a granddaughter, Bethany Moscalink; two grandsons, Zachary Collins and Tanner Collins; a brother, Joseph Zozula of Scottdale, Pa.; a sister, Mary Ann Zozula of Scottdale, Pa.; sisters-in-law, Teresa Zozula of Carnegie Pa., Janet Zozula of Mt. Pleasant, Pa., Irene Mercuri of East Lake, Ohio, Rose Marie Necci of N. Ridgeville, Ohio and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Magdaline will be remembered for her smile, gentle heart and kind words for everyone. She was very strong in her faith. Through her strong faith and positive attitude, she was a breast cancer survivor. She loved to play bingo and do word-search puzzles, but, most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her grandchildren, with whom she had made so many memories, were her pride and joy.

Family and friends will be received at the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, Pa., on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, June 12, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, June 13 until 9:15 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be held.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville, Pa., at 10 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Bob Lubic as Celebrant.

Interment will be at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
