Beatrice J. Lowden Kramer
Beatrice J. (Lowden) Kramer, age 79, of Waynesburg, formerly of Mather, Pa., died on Saturday, June 15, 2013.
She was born April 30, 1934 in Greensboro, Pa., daughter of James A. Lowden Sr. and Olive Kate (Whitaker) Lowden.
Beatrice graduated from Point Marion High School.
In her youth, ‘Bea’ loved to play ball, and going to church was very important to her.
She had many jobs in her lifetime, from working in the tobacco fields to working at the Pentagon.
But the job she loved most, was being a mother and grandmother. She worked her way into our hearts and will forever remain there. Job well done, Mom!
Mrs. Kramer was a member of the Fountain of Life Church in Washington, Pa.
On June 29, 1957, Beatrice married Wayne ‘Tink’ Kramer. He died October 29, 1998
Surviving are three children: Kurt Kramer of Waynesburg, Brenda Prodan and her husband Don of Carmichaels, Pa., and Sondra DePue and her husband Brian of Carmichaels, Pa.; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; sisters: Rhea Howell of Collier, Pa., Dixie Goble of Gary, Indiana and Sue Sullivan, Smithfield, Pa.; and a brother, James A. Lowden Jr. of Augusta, Georgia.
Deceased are a sister, Marge King; and three brothers Victor Whitaker Arlie Whitaker and Gerald Whitaker.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the BEHM FUNERAL HOMES INC., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, Supervisor, where the Services will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Todd O. Crouch officiating.
Interment will follow in Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson, Pa.
