Patricia M. Cook .
Patricia M. Cook, 59, of Mt. Braddock, Pa., passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with cancer.
She was born October 19, 1953 in Dunbar, Pa., daughter of the late Altha and Helen Hiles Darnell.
Before her retirement, she worked for Fayette Resources, Inc. for many years.
She was a member of Connellsville High School Class of 1971, New Beginnings Covenant Church, Uniontown, Amends Gun Club and T.O.P.S., Connellsville Chapter.
She was a great cook, a wonderful homemaker and loved the mountains, hunting and fishing.
Patricia will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by her loving family: her husband of 36 years as of June 27, Philip D. Cook; daughters, Dannette ‘Punkin’ Darnell and husband of Uniontown, Heather ‘Pixie’ Walden of Masontown; son, Philip R. Cook (Cindy) of Little Summit; grandchildren, Korey and Meghan Halfhill, Felicity and Dylan Burgess, Kyle, Maxine and Darrius Darnell, and Kayden and Gracie Cook; sisters, Dolores Alma Jean Bolish of Chalk Hill and Katherine Turek of Leisenring; brothers, Altha Dale Darnell (Pamela) of Vanderbilt and Robert Darnell (Shirley) of Dunbar and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, William ‘Bill’ Darnell.
Friends will be received 6 to 8, Friday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Saturday and until 2 p.m., the hour of service, Sunday in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville St., Dunbar, with Pastor Mark Lawson officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
Reception to follow at New Beginnings Covenant Church. Covered dishes are welcome.
