Two Greene County Prison inmates who briefly escaped the lockup on Saturday used a picnic table to scale a fence when they were able to escape the jail, police said.

Jason William Roe, 32, formerly of Daisytown, and Rocco J. Iocovone, 27, formerly of Glendale, Arizona, were apprehended near by the prison about two hours after they hopped the fence.

State police Trooper Jeremy Barni said that troopers at the Waynesburg station, assisted by two police aircraft, began to search the area for the men.
