Bertha ‘Judy’ Kovalchick Moore
Bertha ‘Judy’ Kovalchick Moore, 91 of Hutchinson, Pa. passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at LaFayette Manor.
She was born September 29, 1921 in Republic, Pa., daughter of the late Joseph and Lulu (Shushok) Wade.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband George W. Kovalchick, her second husband William J. Moore, February 17, 2013, two brothers and two sisters: Joseph Wade, Marie Slampak, Helen Pillar and George Wade. She was the last member of her immediate family.
Surviving are five children: Judy Oberly and husband Wally of Dallastown, Pa., Patty Ashton and husband Don of Uniontown, George ‘Bo’ Kovalchick and wife Rebecca of Hopwood, Mary Lou Frantz and husband Dale of Uniontown, Bill Moore and wife Maureen of Irwin, Pa.; two stepdaughters, Billie Lukehart and husband Jim of Fairchance and Donna Flannery of Uniotown; twelve grand-children and twelve great grandchildren and a special cousin Joan Shushok of Uniontown.
Judy was a member of St. Mary’s Nativity Catholic Church. She served as committee woman in South Union Twp. for many years and bowled duck pins at Laurel Lanes.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday until 9:15 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St Mary’s Nativity Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Peter L. Peretti as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
