Charles J. Fronczek

Charles J. Fronczek, age 72 of New Salem, Pa. passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 in his home with his loving family by his side. He was born April 11, 1940 in Footedale, son of the late Andrew Fronczek and Sophie (Wojcik) Fronczek. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son Charles Michael Fron-czek, his two sisters, Dorothy Bunch and Barbara Cleary and one brother Andrew Fronczek.

Chuck was a member of St. Thomas R. C. Church in Footedale where he served as a Eucharist Minister and was a member of the Holy Name Society. He was a self-employed carpet installer and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Norma Jean Shimko Fronczek; his three daughters: Laurie Perry and husband Brent of LaHabra, California, Natalie Kovach and husband Stephen of New Salem and Charlene Fronczek and partner Cheryl Shiver of Orange Park, Florida; five grandchildren: Stephen Kovach and wife Amanda, Sara Black and husband Elijah, Daniel Kovach and fiancee’ Janette Mayfield, Nicole Kovach and Christopher Kovach; his two great-grandchildren, Jaxon Black and Everett Kovach.

Friends will be received in DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, March 16, 2013 until 9:30 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas R. C. Church, Footedale with Rev. Fr. Peter L. Peretti as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in St. Thomas Church Cemetery, Footedale.

Parish Wake Service will be held Friday evening at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.

Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by AMVETS, General George C. Marshall, Post 103, Hopwood.
