William “Bill” Thomas Freeman, Sr.

William “Bill” Thomas Freeman, Sr., 66, formerly of Clarksville and Carmichaels, died on March 2, 2013 in a truck accident in DeLand, Fla.  Mr. Freeman was born in Brownsville, Pa. on March 6, 1946.

Mr. Freeman and his family moved to St. Augustine, Florida in 1983. He was a former coal miner and was currently employed by DeLand Truck Center.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Freeman, Adah, Pa.; sister, Patsy Bodnar and brother, Darwin Freeman.

Survivors include his wife, Paula Freeman, Zephyrhills, Fla.; son, William Thomas Freeman, Jr., Wesley Chapel, Fla.; daughter, Terri Freeman Borchardt and her husband Marc, Rome, Ga.; mother, Phyllis Freeman, Adah, Pa.; brother, Charles Freeman, Clinton, Pa.; sister, Mary Scandrol, Fredericktown, Pa.; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion animal, “Muffy”.

Volusia County Cremation society has charge of arrangements. A memorial will be held on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF REPUBLIC. A Catholic Memorial Mass was said for him on March 13, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Rome, Ga.
