John A. Rankin Sr.
John A. ‘Big John’ Rankin Sr., age 66, of Brownsville, Pa., died Saturday, March 23, 2013 in Monongahela Valley Hospital.
He was born on August 6, 1946 in Brownsville, Pa., the son of the late Charles Rankin and Nellie (Mattie) Rankin.
He is survived by his wife, Lynne C. Childs Rankin; daughter, Kathy Jo Collinet and husband Fred; sons: John A. Rankin Jr. and wife Amber, Brian C. Rankin; grandchildren: Stephen Collinet, Jaidyn Rankin; sisters and brothers: Nancy Barati, Toni Phillips, Ted Rankin, Chuck Rankin, Loretta Murray, Joe Rankin, Sue Rankin and numerous nieces and nephews.
