Eugene Traficante, Sr.
Eugene Traficante, Sr. age 89, Tower Hill One, Pa., passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2013 in Mount Macrina Manor, Uniontown, Pa.
He was born May 16, 1923 in Tower Hill 2, Pa., a son of the late Daniel Traficante Sr. and Lena Cipolio Traficante.
Eugene was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Republic, a veteran of the US Navy serving in World War II, was retired from the Isabella Mine and was a member of the UMWA.
He was preceded in death by a son, Eugene ‘Bear’ Traficante, a son, Robert, in infancy, a granddaughter, Fawne Marie Traficante, sister, Mary Williams Colaiuta and brothers: Frank Traficante, Daniel Traficante II, Robert Traficante, James Williams, Thomas Williams, Lewis Williams and Earl Williams and his parents.
Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years, Rose (Colameo) Traficante; daughter, Janet Sullivan and her beloved companion, Gary Klippi, of Uniontown; grand-children, Eugene ‘Geno’ Traficante III, Robert L. Bowlin Jr. and fiance’ Cristina Byers and Craig D. Sullivan and wife Melissa; great-grand-children, Christian and Dylan Sullivan and sisters, Emaline Pyzdrowski and Dolly Dutkewycz, both of Uniontown.
Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME, Legion St., Republic, Pa. on Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, May 2, 2013 until 9:30 a.m., when a Prayer Service will be held. A Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church with Rev. Fr. William McGuirk as Celebrant.
Interment will be in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa. where military rites will be accorded by Hopwood AMVETS Post 103.
