A Mount Braddock man is facing multiple charges after police allege he crashed an all-terrain vehicle while drunk in Uniontown, seriously injuring a woman who was riding with him.

Timothy Norris, 49, was charged with aggravated assaulted while DUI, reckless driving, drunken driving, careless driving and several other traffic violations.

Uniontown police Officer Jeremy Schult said the crash occurred at 8:02 p.m. Sunday, when Norris was spotted by multiple witnesses traveling at a high rate of speed on the ATV on Walnut Street.

Police said that Norris failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with North Gallatin Avenue and pulled out directly in front of a car driven by Beth Olinzock, no address available.

Police said that the collision caused the ATV to overturn, throwing both Norris and passenger Diana Sylvester, no address available, from the vehicle.

Sylvester suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash. Norris refused treatment.

Norris will face a preliminary hearing at a later date before Magisterial District Judge Michael M. Metros.
