William Albert Gurney, age 61, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully, at his home, on Tuesday, May 7, 2013. He was born August 27, 1951 in Uniontown, Pa., son of the late William Edward Gurney and Ruth (Gensbigler) Gurney. 

Bill graduated from Uniontown High School in 1969 and also attended Eisenhower College and Cornell University where he graduated in 1973 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and International Relations.

Bill worked as a salesman for Hauck Manufacturing and Hoover Vacuum. He also worked for RCA and Maytag.

Bill is survived by many cherished friends including Suzanne Frank and David Georgiana.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown PA.

A Memorial Service celebrating Bill’s life will be held at TRINITY UNITED PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH with Rev. Michael I. Orsted officiating, date and time to be announced. Private Interment will be held at Northside Cemetery, Butler, PA. Donations in Bill’s memory can be made to Trinity United
