Charles T. Waugh
Charles T. Waugh, 59 of Fredericktown, Pa. died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in the Mon Valley Hospital.
He was born January 30, 1954 in Brownsville, Pa., a son of the late Charles S. and Kathryn M. (Righetti) Waugh.
Mr. Waugh was a 1972 graduate of Beth Center High School.
He was a member of St. Michael Archangel R. C. Church, St. Oliver Plunkett Parish, Fred-ericktown, Pa.; the Owl’s Club of Fredericktown and a Charter Member of the Binnstown/Lowhill Lions Club. For many years he was a Democratic Committeeman for East Bethlehem Township II.
For several years Mr. Waugh worked for J&L Steel Corporation, Vesta No. 6 mine as an underground coal miner. He later owned and operated the Devil’s Den, Brownsville, Pa., Crazy Charlie’s, Fredericktown, Pa. and the Jefferson Hotel, Jefferson, Pa.
Charlie enjoyed his nieces and nephews. He was an avid supporter of local youth sports and also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Surviving are a sister, Sara K. Zemba (Pat) of Springfield, Va. and a brother, Joe Waugh (Susan) of Kernersville, N.C. and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a sister, Mary Ann Waugh.
Friends will be received Sunday from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 42 Bank Street at Crawford Road, Fredericktown,PA where a prayer service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, May 13, 2013 followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Archangel R. C. Church, St. Oliver Plunkett Parish, Frede-ricktown, PA with Rev. Paul Grunebach as celebrant. Interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery, Beallsville, PA.
