Mabel Jane (Harris) Namish
Mabel Jane (Harris) Namish, 91, of New Geneva, Pa., passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at her home with her loving family at her side.
Born in New Geneva on Dec. 1, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Ada (Fordyce) Harris.
A faithful member of the New Geneva Baptist Church, Mabel was a retired cafeteria manager with the Albert Gallatin School District.
Surviving are five children and their spouses: Connie and Edward Harvey, Lou Ann and Greg Radicic and Robert Namish and fiancé Susie Churby, all of New Geneva, Leroy and Diane Namish of West Farmington, Ohio, and Kenneth and Juliann Namish of Warren, Ohio; 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and one sister, Peg Ellsworth of Fairchance.
Deceased is her husband, Charles Namish in 2007; a son, Sonny Namish in 2009.
The family will receive friends in the NEW GENEVA BAPTIST CHURCH on Friday from 5 – 8 p.m., and Saturday until the 11:00 a.m. hour of service, with Rev. Scott Teets officiating.
Interment follows in Cedar Grove Cemetery, New Geneva. Arrangements are in the care of the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion.
Memorials may be offered to the American Cancer Society in memory of her loving son, Sonny Namish.
Heartfelt thanks are extended from the family to Amedisys Hospice for the loving care and special attention shown by them to Mabel during her illness at home.
