Ida Louise (Mosako) Thomas
Ida Louise (Mosako) Thomas, age 94, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, May 9, 2013 in her home.
She was born March 23, 1919 in Smock, Pa., the daughter of the late Elmer John Mosako and Ada (Klink) Mosako.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Edward Thomas; sons: Ronald Elmer Thomas, David Richard Thomas; brother and sisters: Elmer John Mosako Jr., June Lilley, Bessie Luick, Anna Bell Frost and Elma Jean Evans; and step-sister, Sophie Jobes.
Ida was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother.
She was devoted to her family and will be truly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Ida loved to bake! She was known for her wonderful bread, donuts, pizza and especially her warm cinnamon rolls that were known for their amazing taste.
She also enjoyed dancing and bingo.
In her late years, she enjoyed coloring.
She is survived by her loving children: Gloria Lorraine Kostelnik of Uniontown, Charlene Lavanda Blackstone and husband Wilbert of Uniontown, Charles E. Thomas Jr. and wife Donna of Uniontown, Linda Lee Thomas of Ephrata, Pa., Samuel D. Thomas and Jodi Lynn of Ephrata, Pa., Adae Clark and husband Robert of Lemont Furnace, Pa., Lelia G. Thomas and fiancé Bob Leichliter of Uniontown, Barry B. Thomas and wife Ramona of Uniontown and Dale B. Thomas and wife Ida of Uniontown; 53 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren; sisters: Kathryn Thomas of Uniontown, Rosemarie Adams of Uniontown, Joyce L. Turner and husband Harvey of Ephrata, Pa., Sheila D. Eshelman and husband Patrick of Ephrata, Pa.; daughters-in-law: Sue Thomas of Waltersburg, Pa., and Toni Ruth Thomas, Farmington, Pa; several loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday morning until 10 a.m., the hour of Service with Pastor Aaron Peternel officiating.
Interment in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
Viewing was also held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m.
