The Mountain Weatherman: Warm
As I was driving west over Kaisers Ridge I was reminded what a difference just 10 miles can make in our local weather. At 4PM yesterday there was thick dense fog in the Western Maryland Mountains with the temperature in the upper 50’s. As I got closer to home I was glad to see sunshine and temperatures in the mid 70’s. The high here yesterday was 74, the overnight low 52 and at 7AM we were 54 degrees under clear skies. There was just a trace of precipitation yesterday with a few sprinkles early in the evening. We’ll be warm with lots of sunshine today and increasing humidity as a warm front lifts north of the area. There could be a scattered thunderstorm around this afternoon. Very warm tomorrow with more chances for an afternoon storms then a slow moving cool front will bring clouds and showers for Wednesday and Thursday and much cooler air by Friday.
