Incumbent Fike tops Glover for GOP nod in Henry Clay
Republican Robert Fike is virtually assured of returning to the Henry Clay Township Board of Supervisors for another six years.
According to unofficial election results, Fike defeated political newcomer Mark Glover by six votes in Tuesday’s primary.
With a total of 168 votes cast in the election, Fike received 87 to Glover’s 81.
Because no Democrats ran in the election, Fike will face no opposition in the general election unless there is a write-in campaign.
This was Glover’s first attempt at a political office. He said he decided to run for supervisor to improve township roads, particularly Route 281.
