The $60 million Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin will be ready to roll July 1.

Isle of Capri Casinos of St. Louis, Mo., the owner and operator of the casino at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Wharton Township, announced the opening Thursday.

“We are excited to announce the opening date of Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin. It has been several years since this project was originally announced, and we are thrilled that the casino will soon be a reality,” said Virginia McDowell, Isle of Capri’s president and chief executive officer. “We have designed and built a casino that will boost tourism, create jobs and contribute to state revenues while adding an exciting new amenity to this premier resort. We all look forward to welcoming guests on July 1.”

The casino, which will open at noon July 1, will feature 600 slot machines, 28 table games, a casual dining restaurant and a lounge, and will open 24 hours a day.

Isle of Capri is in the process of hiring the last of the 500 employees for the casino and the resort has hired about half of the 60 additional employees it needs to handle casino visitors.

“The addition of Lady Luck Casino gives our guests an important new amenity that allows us to attract new guests to Pennsylvania from all over the country and world. We look forward to sharing this new amenity with our guests and cannot wait to share the facility with the community as well,” said Maggie Hardy Magerko, president and owner of the resort.

Classified as a Category 3, or resort, casino under state gaming laws, Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin is considered an amenity of the resort and visitors are required to spend at least $10 at the resort to enter the casino.

Resort guests or patrons can use their receipts to obtain casino access passes. A $45 “Nemacolin Experience” membership card is good for unlimited casino access for the member and a guest for a year. The receipt from a $10 transaction at the resort or the purchase of a gift card of at least $10 also can be used to obtain a casino access pass.
