Betty D. (MacBurney) Murphy Hilyard, age 88, Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013.
Betty was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lancaster.
Betty was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother.
Betty was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Eugene Murphy of Connellsville, Pa., and George J. Hilyard; and her parents, Charles MacBurney and Grace (Treutle) MacBurney of Connellsville, Pa.
Betty is survived by her children: Janice Henderson, Dennis Murphy, Bruce Murphy; step children: Marianne, Michelle and Georganna Hilyard; eighteen grand children; six great grand children; and her sister, Vera Ruth MacBurney Nickman and husband Elias E. Nickman and families.
A service will be held on Tuesday, November 5, at 1:30 p.m. in BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Green Street, Connellsville Pa. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
Burial to follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville, Pa.
