James E. Collins, age 88, of Bruceton Mills (Mountain Grove Community), West Virginia died Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at his home with his family at his side.

Son of the late Jesse Collins and Edith (Teets) Collins, James was born on Friday, September 4, 1925 in Bruceton Mills.

‘Jim’ was a World War II veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Besides his parents, ‘Jim’ was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Marie (Tisdel) Collins in 1990; and six sisters.

He is survived by two sons: James C. Collins and wife Susan, Bruceton Mills and Gregory L. Collins and wife Janice, Morgantown, West Virginia; four grandchildren Ashley Marie and Clay Collins, and Catlyn Marie and Kyle Collins.

Family and Friends may call at the CARL R. SPEAR FUNERAL HOME in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, Saturday November 16, 2013 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., the time of a Funeral Service in the Funeral Home with Chaplain Scott Teets officiating.

Cremation will follow.
