A former school bus driver, already behind bars for sexually assaulting a mentally challenged teen girl in 2012 on a school bus, will stand trial after police allege he raped another teen girl a few months prior to the assault he is currently serving time on.

Jason Freeland, 31, of North Union Township was charged with rape, sexual assault and corruption of minors for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl in 2011 at a location in North Union Township.

Magisterial District Judge Wendy D. Dennis held all charges against Freeland for Fayette County Court following testimony from the alleged victim, who is now 16, during a preliminary hearing held today.

State police Trooper Heather L. Clem-Johnston said the charges were filed after the alleged victim’s mother called police when her daughter reported that Freeland had raped her.
