Gerald A. Vilk
Gerald A. Vilk, age 61, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., passed away on Monday, November 25, 2013 in the Uniontown Hospital.
He was born March 28, 1952 son of Frank P. Vilk and Betty (Grimm) Vilk.
He was born and raised in Republic, Pa.
Gerald was employed as a Welder at Elliott Company in Jeannette, Pa., for twenty-one years.
He was a member of the Central Christian Church, Uniontown, Pa.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents.
Left behind to carry on are his wife of thirty-four years, Helen (Franks) Vilk; two daughters: Melissa (Vilk) Bosh and husband Zach Bosh of Fair Oaks, Pa., and Kimberly (Vilk) Vogt of Greensburg, Pa.; two sons: Edward Shanor and wife Dee of Eden, North Carolina and Timothy Shanor a nd wife Kelly of Penns Creek, Pa.; also twelve grandchildren: Ava, Ali, Brandon, Sammy Jo, David, Emily, Brady, Tucker, Karley, Kylie, Bobbie and Sam; four great grandchildren: Layla, Leah, Bentley and Brody; his brother, Lawrence Vilk and wife Barbara; a niece, Lisa Smith and husband Chris a nephew, Craig Vilk and wife Clair; and his pet dog, Mia.
Friends will be received in ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., One Legion Street, Republic, Pa., on Sunday, December 1, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday, December 2, 2013 until 11:30 a.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. Heather Simpson officiating.
Interment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
