Thomas Robert White
Thomas Robert White, 65, of South Connellsville, died Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his family and loved ones.
He was born September 18, 1948 in South Connellsville, a son of the late Thomas E. and Lorraine A. (Evans) White.
He was a graduate of Connellsville Area High School Class of 1966 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Germany during the Vietnam War.
Prior to his retirement, Thomas worked for Anchor Hocking Glass Plant for 37 years. Later, he worked for BAE for almost 5 years.
He was a lifetime member of the South Connellsville Fire Department and was a member of Central Fellowship Church, Connellsville.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Lynn (Kimmel) White; son, David Scott White and wife, Misty of Elizabeth City, N.C.; grand-children: Sheldon White and McKenzie Evans of Virginia Beach, Tomeeka Smith of Connellsville and Stephanie Knop-snider of North Carolina; sisters, Cheryl A. Ryan and husband, John R., of S. Connellsville and Maria Bower and husband, Jim of Calif.; father- and mother-in-law,Arthur Dean Kimmel and wife, Wanda; a special niece, Tiffany Groh and husband, Jim of S. Connellsville; many other nieces, nephews; great-nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC., 418 North Pittsburgh St., Connellsville, Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 until 11 a.m. the hour of his funeral service with Pastor Ray Keefer officiating.
Full military rites will be accorded at the funeral home by the VFW Post 21 and American Legion Posts 301 and 762. Interment will be private.
