Edward C. ‘Buzzy’ Harrison
Edward C. ‘Buzzy’ Harrison age 62 of Uniontown, Pa. passed away Sunday October 6, 2013.
Ed was a member of the Laurel Highlands basketball team that took the State Championship in 1968. He was a 1969 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School. He attended the University of Pittsburgh where he played basketball and also at Oklahoma State University. He was a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. and former member of the Summit Lodge No. 115 Elks I.B.P.O.E of W.
Ed was baptized at a early age and was Junior Deacon at Mt. Rose Baptist Church in Uniontown, while growing up.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Garland and Betty Jean Harrison and a grandson Eric Harrison, Jr.
He is survived by his son Eric Harrison (Simone) of Pittsburgh, Pa.; Daughter Eboni Coles of Oklahoma; Granddaughter, Sasha Harrison; Siblings: Diane Washington(Jerry),Gary Harrison (Carol) both of Uniontown, Pa., and Barry Harrison of Sacramento, Calif.; Special aunt, Catherine Finney (Ken). Aunt, Dr. Thelma Harrison; Special friend Linda Sims; And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Friends will be received at the LANTZ FUNERAL HOME INC. 297 E. Main St. Uniontown, PA. on Saturday October 12 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the hour of service. Rev. Brian McLee will officiate.
