PennDOT lists work projects

Chris Sleighter, Fayette County maintenance manager with the state department of Transportation, has announced the following tentative work plan for the week beginning Monday.

n Bridge replacement is scheduled on state Route 4032 (Bolden Road).

n Crack sealing is scheduled on state Route 906 from Naomi to Belle Vernon, state Route 381 (Farmington-Ohiopyle Road), state Route 2008 (Old Mill Road) and state Route 1051 (Breakneck Road).

n Shoulder cutting is scheduled on state routes 4019 and 4048 in the Perryopolis area.

n Ditch cleaning is scheduled on state Route 381 in Mill Run and state Route 1001 (Kooser Road).

n Pipe flushing is scheduled on state Route 3004 in Wymps Gap.

n Pipe replacement is scheduled on state Route 1050 in Clinton.

n Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and work orders will be addressed on various state roads throughout the county.

All maintenance activities are conducted as the weather permits. PennDOT said motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the use of headlights.

PENNDOT has a 24-hour toll-free number for residents to call to report any road maintenance concern. The number also can be used to report locations of dead deer on state highways. The number is 1-800-FIX ROAD (1-800-349-7623).
