Williams has opened a field office in Connellsville.

The Fayette Chamber of Commerce, state Rep. Deberah Kula, D-North Union Township, and Williams employees recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new office at 105 Enterprise Lane in Chattahoochee Square.

“In 2009, just a little over four years ago, Williams Midstream entered into a joint venture with Atlas America, that created the gathering and processing operation known as Laurel Mountain Midstream. Our regional headquarters is in Fayette Township, Allegheny County. We started with a handful of employees here in the Pennsylvania and in four years time have more than 600 employees in Pennsylvania and West Virginia,” said Frank Billings, Williams senior vice president of Northeast gathering and processing.

“With Fayette County being in the heart of Marcellus production, we opened our field office in Chattahoochee Square. Just as our presence grew throughout the Pittsburgh region, we are seeing growth here in Connellsville, too. We now have more than 65 employees working out of our Connellsville office and needed more room to accommodate our growing workforce and business,” said Leigh McIntosh, of Williams.

“It’s great to see a company so embedded in our community,” Muriel Nuttall, executive director of the chamber. “We are thrilled that they chose Fayette County as one of their homes. They are great supporters of our chamber and the community at large. As their new building was designed taking future expansion into consideration, we look forward to watching them grow.”
