Police seek information in two armed robberies near the WVU campus this weekend

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Police are seeking information about two armed robberies that occurred near the West Virginia University campus over the weekend.

Early Sunday (Oct. 20) morning, three suspects struck one victim with a handgun and took his wallet and cell phone on Beverly Avenue. The suspects, described as black males wearing dark-colored hooded shirts and masks, fled the area on foot.

Later Sunday evening at 9:30, a man dressed in dark clothing with his face covered entered the Express Mart at 502 Stewart Street, produced a handgun and told a clerk to give him all the money in the store’s register. The suspect fled the store on foot.
